Halloween y Remixes...

Generation Bass posted another of our tracks on their site! "The Scream" was originally a Halloween-like tune (with a Psycho vibe--Hitchcock's most famous film.) But, by request we changed the style from dubstep-y to something cumbia-flavored. Essentially, remixing ourselves...
Also, we did a remix of Icebird (RJD2 & Aaron Livingston) and their tune "Charmed Life." This one's more UK garage (like MJ Cole and similar producers.)

Les de Generation Bass ponían otro tema nuestro ¡en su página! Este tema, se llama "The Scream," originalmente era apropriado para Halloween (con rollo de Psycho, la peli más conocida de Hitchcock.) Pero, por petición, lo cambiabamos del estilo más dubstep al sabor de cumbia. Así, remezclabamos nuestros mismos...
Además, hicimos otra remezcla del grupo Icebird (RJD2 y Aaron Livingston) y su canción "Charmed Life." Esta vez, es más UK garage (como MJ Cole y otros productores así.)

Nuestra Fiesta del Febrero / Our February Party

Al Lindrum

La última fiesta había un nuevo chico, Al Lindrum (también conocido como "Love Avalanche.") Él no es tan alto como nosotros, pero pinchaba magnifico con Los Chicos Altos en Urban World Social Club Barcelona. Al es un artista del mismo sello que nosotros, Urban World Recordings y su estilo de dj suena bien con nuestro. Él ponía música con mucho influencia de Jamaica, dub, dancehall y cosas que suena así (e.g., dub-house, etc.)

Como la fiesta anterior, había mucha gente y muchas de ellos bailaban. Gracias a nuestra amiga Pascale que celebró su cumple en nuestro evento y trayó sus amigos. Como siempre, muchas gracias al equipo de La Bodega Del Onze (Eduardo, Paula y Iolanda) y todos que venían. Hay más fotos allí.

La prómixa es el sábado, 26 de marzo en el mismo sitio (La Bodega Del Onze, C/ Blai 8, Barcelona 08004 - Barrio Poble Sec) y el mismo tiempo (desde 23hr hasta 03hr.) ¡Nos vemos pronto!

Pascale y Amigos / Pascale and Friends

The last party there was a new guy, Al Lindrum (aka "Love Avalanche.) He's not as tall as us, but spun wonderfully with Los Chicos Altos at Urban World Social Club Barcelona. Al is an artist on the same label as us, Urban World Recordings and his DJ style sounds good with ours. He played music with a lot of Jamaican influence, dub, dancehall and stuff that sounds like that (e.g. dub-house, etc.) Like the party before, there were a lot of people and many of them danced.

Thanks to our friend Pascale who celebrated her birthday at our event and brought her friends. As always, many thanks to the crew at La Bodega Del Onze (Eduardo, Paula y Iolanda) and everyone who came. More photos here.

The next one is Saturday, 26 March in the same place (La Bodega Del Onze, C/ Blai 8, Barcelona 08004 - Barrio Poble Sec) and the same time (11pm-3am.) See you soon!

¡Gracias a todos que vinieron a Urban World Social Club en Bodega Del Onze! Apuntate el sábado 12 de febrero para la próxima sesión.

Para nosotros, la noche fue bién gracias a much@s amig@s que vinieron y el equipo del bar que son majos. Por supuesto, pinchamos música que nos gustaba y también la gente estaba de acuerdo (i.e., se disfrutó la música.) Podría ser que los temas "tropicales" cayeron bien por los ritmos exoticos - especialmente con los que tomaban coctéles como los mojitos o caiparinhas. Estas bebidas son buenas surgencias en este bar - las camareras ¡los hagan bien! Ponemos mucha música del sello Urban World Records y también unos temas del sello Spring Strut Recordings.

Pronto sacamos música con los dos sellos y ¡estamos emocionados por eso!

Thanks to everyone who came to Urban World Social Club at Bodega Del Onze! Mark the next date, Saturday 12 Feb.

For us, the night went well thanks to lots of friends who came out and the bar staff who were lovely. Of course, we spun lots of music we liked and the crowd was of the same mind (i.e., they enjoyed the music.) Maybe it's that the "tropical" tunes went down so well because of the "exotic" rhythms'--especially with those who had cocktails like mojitos or caiparinhas. Those are good drinks to try in that bar--the bartenders make them well! We played lots of music from the label Urban World Records and some by Spring Strut Recordings as well.

We're releasing music soon on both of those labels and we're very excited about it!
